This notice explains how the Opus Client Portal app handles your data. It supplements our main Privacy Policy.
About This App
The Opus Client Portal app lets you securely access your documents, sign documents electronically, view and complete tasks, message your accountant, and manage your account. Available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Data We Collect

Data we do NOT collect: location, analytics, advertising data, browsing history, contacts, health or fitness data.
Data Storage
- The app does not store documents, messages, or client data locally beyond temporary session caching
- Authentication tokens use platform secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android EncryptedSharedPreferences)
- Documents are encrypted at rest on our servers using AES-256-GCM
- All data is hosted on UK-based servers
Push Notifications
The app delivers push notifications for new documents, signature requests, messages, and tasks via:
- Apple Push Notification service (APNs) on iOS — operated by Apple Inc.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) on Android — operated by Google LLC
Only your device token is shared with these providers. You can disable notifications in your device settings or within the app at any time.
